I’m one of the few people who started coaching kids before playing soccer myself. In fact, I was introduced to coaching by a friend who asked me to help him during one of his summer seasons. After two seasons, I was so hooked that I signed up as a player for my very first soccer season at the age of 20. You can imagine, starting at 20, but I knew straight away after my first touches of the ball that I was made for this sport and I developed an unconditional love for the game. By the following season, I had already overtaken players who had been on the circuit for years, as I was called up to the competitive Division 2 team. In only my 3rd season of experience, I was already playing in Division 1 of the AA league.
